This is so quick to make , they are tasty and a perfect snack!
Leave to cool when you remove from the oven - if the bars crumble use as a granola type sprinkle , can be frozen or stored in a tin. Warning , they disappear quickly!!
Makes 20
Ingredients:
- 250g porridge oats
- 160ml of coconut oil
- 70g milled Chia seeds
- 160ml of maple syrup
- 40g desiccated coconut
- 125g mixed seeds (sesame / sunflower / pumpkin)
- 40g dried cranberries
- Dash Sea salt
Method:
- Add all the dry ingredients into a large bowl
- Melt the coconut oil separately in a saucepan and add to the mixture with maple syrup
- On a flat baking tray (I used 2 medium trays) flatten out the mix and press down hard so they will set to form bars
- Bake at 150c oven or equivalent for 35-50 minutes , keep a check so the cranberries don’t burn!
- Leave for 15 minutes at least to cool before cutting , any crumbly bits make a great sprinkle with yogurt or over porridge !
